Another day, another day a predator teacher is arresated on sex charges with students.
KEND 5 reports a Southside ISD middle school teacher was arrested Monday morning for continuous sex assault of a child, according to Bexar County Sheriff's Office.
Raymond Casillas, 43, has been the English and language arts facilitator at Matthey Middle school, according to initial reports.
A letter sent home to parents on Jan. 7 said Casillas "had not been with the district for over a year." The letter also encouraged parents to talk with their children about the importance of reporting any incidents immediately.
He was charged with a first degree felony of continuous sex assault of a child in incidents that could date back to as early as 2011.
According to a Bexar County spokesperson, some of the incidents may have taken place in Casillas' classroom. The claim was made in mid-December of 2013.
Casillas posted his $75,000 bond.
