No reports thus far of sexual intercourse. But, this was caught at the flirtation and exploring the possibilities. Good thing it was caught early.
Charlotte Observer reports a Hopewell High teacher has been charged with taking indecent liberties with a student after allegedly engaging in inappropriate texting and physical contact with a juvenile, according to officials.
David Cale Allison, 26, was charged Wednesday after Huntersville detectives sought a probable cause warrant, police said.
Allison is listed as a physical education teacher on the school’s website.
Huntersville police said they were contacted by Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Law Enforcement Nov. 21 with an allegation of inappropriate contact between a teacher and juvenile at Hopewell High School.
While investigating, police said inappropriate texting and physical contact allegedly happened between a teacher and a juvenile student on the Hopewell campus during normal school hours.
Police said the juvenile told them the suspect had sent flirtatious text messages during and outside school hours, and on one occasion engaged in inappropriate physical contact.
Detectives believe this is an isolated incident involving only one student, but they ask anyone with additional information to contact Huntersville Police Lt. Kevin Johnston or Capt. Barry Graham: 704-464-5400.
